Obituary

Funeral services for Charlie Hardin Spraberry, 39, were conducted at 2;30 p.m., March 7, in the First Baptist church with Rev. Roy George, Odessa, minister officiating. Bro. B.Z. Curtis, pastor of the Spur Assembly of God, assisted.

Spraberry had been in ill health for the past five years. He died March 4.

He was born March 30, 1891, in Jones County, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Eli Spraberry. He was married to Ruby Barrett on Nov. 16, 1913, in Rochester, and the family had resided in Dickens County since 1920.

Survivors include the wife, two daughters, Mrs. Alvarine Gannon and Mrs. Aldsphene McWilliams of Spur; one sister, Mrs. T.O. Bingham, Spur and two brothers, W.D. of Spur and V.C. of Afton. Seven grandchildren also survive.

Chandler Funeral home directed arrangements, with interment in Spur cemetery.
