Obituary

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church, Spur, for M.B. (Tince) Spraberry, 68. Church pastor, Rev. Darwin Cox, officiated.

Spraberry died March 1 about 8:27 p.m. in the Crosbyton Hospital following a brief illness. Born July 20, 1916 in Rule, he married Atha J. Kidd in Spur on August 22, 1936. He lived in Spur all of his life until 1965 when he moved to Crosbyton. He farmed while he lived here, but he worked for the City of Crosbyton for 16 years until his retirement in 1982. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Atha Spraberry, Crosbyton; two sons, Dalton Bruce Spraberry, Abilene and Michael Brian Spraberry, Amarillo; two sisters, Allie (Sis) Turbyfill and Myrtle Ward, both of Spur; eight grandchildren. One brother, Son Spraberry, preceded him in death.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Atha Joy Spraberry, 78, Crosbyton were held Friday, December 2, 1994 at 11 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, Spur with Dr. Genoa Goad, pastor, officiating. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Spraberry was born May 29, 1916 in Stonewall County and died on Wednesday, November 30, 1994 in St. Mary's Hospital, Lubbock.

She married Milton B. (Tince) Spraberry on August 22, 1936 in Spur. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1985. She moved to Crosbyton from Spur in 1964.

She was a retired nurse and a member of the Baptist Church and the Crosby County Senior Citizens.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Spraberry, Abilene and Brian Spraberry, Crosbyton; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
