U.S.Flag Funeral services for Robert Bruce, (Bob) Spear, 81, Spur were at 2 p.m. September 18, 1993 in First Methodist Church with pastor, Rev. Jack Moff, officiating.

Mr. Spear died September 16 ion Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

He was born February 21, 1912 in Vigo Park, near Tulia. He had lived in Dickens County since 1968 moving here form Brownfield. He married Tona Andrew Slaton in Kress on Nov. 5, 1936. She preceded him in death on May 5, 1982.

He graduated from Happy High School in 1929, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a radio technician in the Pacific. At Brownfield, he was owner of a radio/television repair business. While he lived in Dickens County he was a farmer.

Survivors include one sister, Blanche Spear Harle, Vega; several nieces and nephews.
