Services for Floy Elnora Britton Smith, 78, were held at 10 a.m., April 8, in the First United Methodist Church, Spur, with Rev. George Price, pastor, officiating, he was assisted by Rev. Weldon Butler of Roswell, NM.

Mrs. Smith died Monday, April 6, at about 2 a.m. in St. Mary's Hospital, Lubbock, following a sudden illness. She was born June 7, 1908, in Knox County. She had lived in Lubbock since 1961, moving there from Spur. She was a farmer and vice-president of the Lubbock Garden Club. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.

She married Guy Smith in August of 1975 in Lubbock.

Survivors include her husband, Guy Smith, Lubbock; two sons, Bob Britton, Eallston, Maryland and Jim Britton, Roswell, NM; two step-sons, Joe Guy Smith, Lubbock and David Smith, Houston; one step-daughter, Patsy Brewster, Houston; a half brother, Carroll Wylie Morgan, Waxahachie; three sisters, Arden Puckett, Spur and Ruby Nell Bridge and Wilma Taylor, both of Lubbock; two half sisters, Ginger Bone, Waco and Joyce Whatley, Fruitvale; and five grandchildren.
