Funeral Rites Read For Charles Smith

Funeral services for Charles L. Smith, 20, were held at 3 p.m., April 13, in the First Baptist church with Oran Price, Lubbock minister, officiating.

Smith died April 12 in a Lubbock hospital after several days illness. He was born June 14, 1931, in Spur. The family had resided near Lubbock for the past 10 years.

Survivors include the parents, Mr. And Mrs. Walter Smith, and one sister, Loudean, all of Lubbock; grandmother, Mrs. Charlie Robinson and Mrs. W.I. Smith, both of Spur, and several aunts and uncles.

Pall bearers were Bill Carter, Kenneth Dudley, Billy Scott, Johnny Cox, Jewel Steele and Wilson Ellis.

Interment was in Spur cemetery with Campbell Funeral chapel in charge of arrangements.
