Graveside services for Burle Everett Settle, 76, of Ralls were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, 1992, in Spur Cemetery with the Rev. Steve Joy, pastor of Assembly of God Church, officiating.

Burial was directed by Carter-Adams Funeral Home.

Settle died at 3:12 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1992, in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital after a lengthy illness

He was born in Axtel and moved to the Ralls area in 1989 from Spur. He married Nonell Yarbrough on Feb. 14, 1975, in Spur. He was a farmer and truck driver.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Larry of Lakewood, CA, and Donnie of San Clemente, CA; two stepsons, Thomas Pierce and Tony Pierce, both of Hobbs, NM; a daughter, Teresa Settle of Ralls; two stepdaughters, Dinky Fink of Ralls and Teena Rucker of Hobbs, NM; a brother, Olen Dean of Crosbyton; a sister, Earnestine Newton of Amarillo; four grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
