Funeral services for Thomas Jackson Seale, 66, who died in the Nichols General Hospital Wednesday morning, March 24, from a heart attack were held Thursday afternoon, March 25, at 4 o'clock, in the First Baptist Church, with Rev. C.N. Gilbert officiating.Mr. Seals was a well known contractor in Spur and the surrounding communities, and has been active in the building program of Spur for many years.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and was regular and consistent in his church life. The congregations of the churches of Spur will miss his voice and the influence of his Christian life. No greater tribute could be paid any man than to truthfully say he was a Christian. He was a beloved father, a devoted husband, and a friend to all who knew him.
He was born February 27, 1882 in Cleburne, Texas, was married to Miss Alene Maude Boxby, August 10, 1902, and has made Spur his home ever since. Here their two children, Ralph and Lorene, were born and raised.
Survivors are his wife and two children- one daughter, Miss Lorene Seale, and one son, Ralph Seale, both of Stockton, California; two brothers, Marion H. Seale of Wichita Falls; and J.W. Seale of Harlingen, Texas; one sister, Mrs. Whig Campbell of Sulphur Springs. Other relatives are P.H. Green of Arlington, W.J. Green of Fort Worth, J.W. Campbell of Sulphur Springs, and one grandchild.
Pallbearers were Joe long, Walter Gruben, Martin Pope, Elmer Hagins, James B. Reed and Lawis Lee.
Honorary pallbearers were Foy Vernon, Weldon Grimes, Austin Bell, George Sloan, J.A. March, Chap Reese, Tommie Vivian, Babe Barry, A.G. Williams, Floy Watson, Buck Thompston, S.C. Fallis, Carl Penninger, and W.S. Patrick.
Campbells Funeral Chapel was in charge of arrangements.
Interment in the Spur Cemetery.

Funeral services for Maude Alice Seale, 82, a Spur housewife, were held Monday at 2 p.m. in First Baptist Church.Rev. Norris Taylor, church pastor, officiated.
Mrs. Seale died April 5 in Crosbyton Hospital, following a lengthy illness. She had been a resident of dickens County since 1920.
She is survived by one daughter, Lou Seale of Spur; one son, Ralph E. Seale, Fresno, CA; one sister, Mrs. Lola Mae Martin, Dallas; a grand daughter, Mitzie Seale of San Francisco, CA.
Pallbearers were J. H. Taylor, W. l. Webb, Mancell Bragg, LaFayette Robinson, Elmer D. Hagins, Claude Barkley, Logan Singleton and J. C. Reese.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery.
