Graveside services for Jose Salcedo, 70, of Spur were held at 11:00 am. Wednesday, September 5, 2007, at Spur Memorial Cemetery. Burial was under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

A memorial service was held at 6:00 that evening at Elim's Outreach. Father Paul Kariakau officiated both services. Mr. Salcedo died Monday, September 3, 2007.

He is survived by his wife, Olympia Reyes of Spur; a son, Antonio Salcedo of Abilene; seven daughters, Maria Salcedo, and Rosaura Salcedo, all of Mexico, Tema Rodriquez of Oklahoma, Vicky Salcedo and Llaria Salcedo, both of New Mexico; two brothers, Teoudulo Segura and Bruno Salcedo, both of Mexico; one sister, Josefina Salcedo of Mexico; 46 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren; and 12 stepchildren.
