J. W. Ross died Tuesday of this week at Cisco, Texas where he had been taken several days ago fo treatment. The remains were shipped to Spur for interment which took place Wednesday afternoon at three o'clock.

J. W. Ross came to Spur almost in the beginning of the town and was engaged in the dray business. He was sixty years of age at the time of his death. He was a good man, honest in his dealings with his fellow man and honest and sincere in his conviction. We extend our sympathy to the bereaved family.
