Rites Held Here For Longtime Spur Cowboy

Funeral services for Lee Roy Roddy, 76, a longtime Spur ranchhand, were held at the First Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Riley Fugitt officiating. Interment was in Spur Cemetery.

Roddy came to Dickens Co. in 1903 and worked on area ranches including the O Bar O, SMS, Spur and Matador ranches. He was residing with a sister, Mrs. C.C. Haile at the time of his death.

Survivors include a brother, Stefling, OK, 3 sisters, Mrs. C.H. Johnson, OK, Mrs. J.T. Hale, Amarillo and Mrs. Halie of Spur.
