Services for Vera Roberson, 81, Spur, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 18, 1993 at the Highway 70 Church of Christ with Ernie Bishop, minister and Dr. Genoa Goad, pastor First Baptist Church, officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home, Spur.

Mrs. Roberson died of a lengthy illness at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, 1993 in Lubbock's Methodist Hospital. She was born in Ada, Oklahoma and had lived in Spur since 1945. She married Loyd L. Roberson on June 29, 1930 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was a homemaker and member of the South Dickens County Senior Citizens and the Blue Bonnet Club and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; five sons, Darold Roberson, Haskell; Herbert Roberson, Shreveport, Louisiana; Gene Roberson,Euless; Jerry Roberson, Lubbock; Hershel Roberson, Corpus Christi; one brother, Jack Tarkenton, Dewey, Arizona and two sisters, Lela Jackson, Lorenzo and Maxine Eason, Petersburg; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Graveside services for Loyd Olen Roberson, 83, of Spur, were at 2 p.m. December 3, 1993 in Spur Memorial Cemetery, Ernie Bishop, minister of the Highway 70 Church of Christ, officiated.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Roberson died about 12:55 p.m. in Crosbyton Clinic Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born in Petersburg on January 10, 1910 and had lived in Spur since 1945.

He married Vera Tarkenton on June 29, 1930 in Santa e, NM. She preceded him in death on March 16, 1993.

Mr. Roberson was a former member of the Spur City Council; was a member of the Church of Christ and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include five sons, Darold Robertson, Haskell; Herbert Roberson, Shreveport, LA; Gene Roberson, Euless; Jerry Roberson, Lubbock and Hershel Roberson, Corpus Chrisi; two brothers, Kenneth and Homer Roberson, both of Petersburg; one sister, Joan Douglas, Lubbock; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
