Obituary

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the First Christian Church for Mrs. Viola Roberson, 80. Rev. John Nay, church pastor, officiated.

Mrs. Roberson died at her home about 5 a.m. Feb. 8. She had been a resident of Dickens County since the early 1920's. She was a member of the First Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Everett Roberson, Spur; two daughters, Mrs. Byrdine Cypher, Jr., Monahans; Mrs. Gladys Sweatt, Silsbee; one brother, Manual Byrd, Lawrenceburg, TN; six grandchildren.

Burial was in Spur Cemetery.

Funeral services for Everett Roberson, 86, a retired farmer, were held last Thursday, March 2, at 3 p.m. in the First Christian Church, Spur. Rev. John Nay officiated.

Mr. Roberson died in Ward Memorial Hospital, Monahans, on March 1. He had been a resident of Dickens County since the early 1920's. He was a member of the Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Byrdean Cypher, Monahans; Mrs. Gladys Sweatt, Silsbee; two sisters, Mr. Hazel Walton, Oceanside, CA; Mrs. Helen Martin, Lawrenceburg, Tenn.; two brothers, Willard Roberson, Winterhaven, Fla.; Dewey Roberson, Lawrenceburg, Tenn. a half sister and two half brothers; and six grandchildren.

Interment was in Spur Cemetery.
