S.C. Reynolds To Be Buried Here Today At 2 P.M.Funeral services for Seaman Calvin Reynolds, 66, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the First Methodist Church, with Rev. W.D. McReynolds pastor officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. M.C. Walters, pastor of the First Assembly of God Church.
A past member of the Spur City Council, Mr. Reynolds died Wednesday morning at about 3:15 a.m. in Spur Memorial Hospital. He had resided in Spur for 50 years, coming here in 1916.
He was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church, secretary and treasurer of the church and Sunday School Superintendent.
He was also a member of Knights of Pythias Lodge, Spur Rotary Club, and had served as a director of the Chamber of Commerce as well as on the City Council.
He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Dorothy Bohannon, Alexandria Egypt; Vera Alexander, Spur; and Vivian Stansell, Arlington; four sons, Eldon, Spur; Weldon, Aztec, NM; Milton, Tahoka; and Calvin, Spur; three sisters, Mrs. Lorain Bluhm, Big Spring; Mrs. Bill Alexander and Mrs. Mitty Posey both of Dallas; 19 grandchildren also survive.
Pallbearers will include Bob Conner, Lawis Lee, J.D. McCain, Coy McMahan, Carter Robinson, Gene Roberts and Rex Holder.
Interment will be in Spur cemetery.

Graveside services for Mable Reynolds, 95, of Spur were at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2000 with the Rev. Timothy Anderson of Electra and Clay Mason of Spur officiating. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.Reynolds died Friday, July 21, 2000 at Crescent Care Center of Spur. She was born August 21, 1904 in Gainsville, Texas. She lived most of her life in Spur. She married Seaman Calvin Reynolds April 9, 1922 in Spur. He preceded her in death June 8, 1966. She is also preceded in death by three sons, Calvin Reynolds in 1986, Weldon Reynolds in 1994 and Eldon Reynolds in 1998. Two grandsons also preceded her in death.
She was a homemaker and Church of Christ
Survivors include one son, Milton Reynolds of Spur; three daughters, Dorothy Bohannan of Lubbock, Vivian Stansell of Spur, and Vero Jo Alexander of Spur;, one brother, Charlie Dillashaw of Spur; 17 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
