Obituary

Services for Eldon Reynolds, 74, of Spur, were Monday, June 1, 1998 at the First United Methodist Church. Rev. Larry Burton officiated. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Reynolds died Saturday, May 30, at his home. Mr. Reynolds was born January 15, 1924 in Dickens County, Texas. He married Tommie B. Denison May 6, 1944 in Spur. He lived in Spur most of his life and was a building supply salesman for many years. He was a Methodist and a member of the Knights of Pythius.

Survivors include his wife, Tommie Reynolds, Spur; his mother, Mable Reynolds, Spur; three sons, Eldon W. Reynolds, The Woodlands; Tommy Reynolds, Ft. Worth; Jerry Reynolds, Lubbock; one daughter, Brenda Nail, Clyde; one brother, Milton Reynolds, Spur; three sisters, Dorothy Bohannan, Lubbock; Vivian Stansell, Spur; Vera Jo Alexander, Spur; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Services for Tommie B. Reynolds, 77, of Spur were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 24, 2002 at the First United Methodist Church in Spur with the Rev. Larry Burton officiating. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

She died Saturday, June 22, 2002 in Lubbock. She was born December 9, 1924 in Rule, Texas. She was a graduate of Rule High School. She married Eldon "Big Boy" Reynolds May 6, 1944 in Spur. He preceded her in death May 30, 1998. She lived most of her life in Spur. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and a member of the United Methodist Women. In her earlier years she was an active Cub Scout and Brownie leader.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Bill Denison.

Survivors include: three sons, Eldon W. Reynolds of the Woodlands; Tommy Reynolds of Ft. Worth; and Jerry Reynolds of Lubbock; one daughter, Brenda Nail of Clyde; two brothers,, George Denison and John Henry Denison, both of Duncanville; two sisters, Florene Kelley of Big Spring and Frances McDonald of Haskell; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
