Funeral services for John Jackson Randall, 64, who died suddenly last Thursday, April 21, at his residence in Spur, were conducted from the Church of Christ, Spur, with John Faubus, minister, officiating, Saturday, April 23, at 3 p.m.Interment followed in the Spur Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
Mr. Randall was born in Tarrant County, Texas, on April 5, 1885, and moved with his family to Dickens County in 1889, where he had resided since in the Steel Hill community. He was a member of the Church of Christ and had been active in civic work in his community.Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dollie Randall; two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Austin, Spur and Mrs. Viola Newby, Snyder; two sons, Clomer of Spur and Foy, who is with the Merchants Marines; four brothers, Morgan of Spur, Willis of Miami, Ariz, Dan of Phoenix, and Lee of Fort Worth; two sisters, Mrs. Lula Holly and Mrs. Jessie Erath, of Spur, and two grandchildren.

Funeral services were held last Saturday for Mrs. J. J. Randall, 72, in the Steel Hill Church of Christ.Mrs. Randall was the mother of Mrs. George Austin and Clomer Randall, both of Spur.
Born in November, 1886, Mrs. Randall came to Dickens County in 1898. The Randalls lived in the Steel Hill community. Dell Young officiated at the service. Interment was in the Spur Cemetery.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Austin, Spur, and Viola Newby of Snyder, two sons, Foy of Galveston and Clomer of Spur. Mrs. Randall was preceded in death by her husband. Other survivors were 3 brothers, R.D. Anderson, and Chas. Anderson, Portales and Jim Anderson, San Francisco; 4 sisters, Mary Gray; Portales, Ethel Schweikhard Shallowater, OK; Annie Booth, Lubbock and Fannie Cash, Los Angeles.
