Biography

The Putman family has been in Dickens County for many, many years, having been owners of a ranch west of Spur now known as the Guitar Ranch. There were five girls born to Kelcy and Mary Putman: Dollinell Putman, Anita Evelyn Putman Hahn, Ina Putman Thomason, Ann Putman Boothe, and Nana Lois Putman Bilberry. They lived on a farm 12 miles west of Spur in the Highway Community.

Dollinell was killed in 1948 from a car accident that almost took the life of Mary Putman as well.
