Obituary

Funeral services for Wayne Price, 69, Dickens, were held August 29 at 11 a.m. at graveside in Spur Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Dave Treat, pastor of the Agape United Methodist Church, Lubbock, officiated.

Mr. Price died August 27 about 7 p.m. in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness. He was born February 14, 1916 in Goldthwaite. He married the former Mildred Arthur in Roaring Springs on November 3, 1934. He had lived in Dickens County most of his life and worked in road construction. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mildred Price, Dickens; one son, Bill Price, Lubbock; a daughter, Melbia Scott, Hurst; and seven grandchildren.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Graveside services for Mildred Price, 69, Dickens, were held at 11 a.m. December 22, in Spur Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Bruce Parks, pastor of the Dickens United Methodist Church officiated; he was assisted by Rev. David Treat, Agape United Methodist Church, Lubbock.

Mrs. Price died at her home on December 20. Justice of the Peace Geeneta McAllister ruled death due to natural causes. She was born November 24, 1919 in Dickens County. A homemaker, she married Wayne A. Price on November 3, 1934 in Roaring Springs. He died on August 17, 1985.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Survivors include one son, Billy Price, Lubbock; a daughter Melbia Scott, Hurst; her other, Mrs. Eula Mae Arthur, Dickens; seven grandchildren.

Campbell Funeral Home, Spur, was in charge of arrangements.
