DALHART — Robert Kelly Powell, 69, died Saturday, April 16, 2011, in Stratford.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in Spur Memorial Cemetery in Spur. Arrangements are by Horizon Funeral Home of Dalhart.

Mr. Powell was born March 24, 1942, in Spur to Chester A. and Sarah Dillashaw Powell. He was raised in Spur and enjoyed cowboy movies and was a special fan of Gene Autry and Roy Rogers.

Survivors include his sisters, Helen Ford of Dalhart, Mary Ann Barber of Bonner Springs, Kan., Sue Bennett of Jeffersonville, Ind., and Lynette Alexander of Houston; and brothers, D.K. Powell of Amarillo, Roland Powell of Colorado City and Pat Powell of Odessa.

The family suggests memorials be to Spur Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 11, Spur, TX 79370.
