Services for Opal Lee Phillips, 81, were at 2 p.m. December 30, 1994 in the Highway 70 Church of Christ with Perry Mason, Lubbock officiating along with church minister, Ernie Bishop.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Phillips died December 28, 1994 in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock, following a lengthy illness.

She was born in Chico on October 30, 1913 and had made her home in Spur since 1926. She married Gifford Phillips in Spur on September 28, 1935. Mrs. Philips was a homemaker and a 1933 graduate of Spur High School. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Gifford Phillips of Spur; two sons, Bill Phillips, Burleson and Ron Phillips, Houston; two grandchildren.

Services for Gifford Forest Phillips, 84, of Spur, were at 2 p.m. March 26, 1996 in the Highway 70 Church of Christ with Perry Mason, Lubbock, and Charles Ball, local minister officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mr. Phillips died March 24 in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock. He was born August 19, 1911 in Chico and had lived in Spur since 1937. He married Opal Stubblefield in Spur on September 28, 1935. She preceded him in death December 28, 1994.

Mr. Phillips was a retired mechanic and a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include two sons, Bill Phillips, Burleson and Ronnie Phillips, Houston; two brothers, Reuben Phillips, Fort Worth and C.D. Phillips, Bridgeport; two grandchildren.
