Funeral rites for Robert Lee Person, 76, were held Sunday, November 11, at 2:30 p.m. at the Steel Hill Church of Christ. Bro. G.W. Calvert of Lubbock officiated the services.A native of Glenrose, Person was married to Pearl Beatrice Wilson in 1900 at Hollis, Oklahoma. To this union were born two daughters. His wife preceded him in death in 1937. Early in life, Person joined the Church of Christ. In 1934, he moved to Dickens county where he lived until the time of his death. He was married to Rada Boothe on September 27, 1942, at Aspermont.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Arvada Baker of Fort Worth and Mrs. E.D. Lester of Silver City, New Mexico; and two step-daughters, Mrs. M.L. Starcher of Lubbock and Miss Jean Boothe, at home.
Pallbearers were Elmer Cross, Jim Wyatt, Floyd Faubis, Garner Young, Dale Young and Leonard Grantham.
Interment was in the Spur cemetery with Chandler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 4 p.m. in the Spur Church of Christ for Mrs. Rada Boothe Person, 80. She died April 6 in the M.D. Nursing Home here. Bob Wille, minister officiated.Born January 1, 1896, she married Henry Boothe in December, 1929. He preceded her in death in April of 1937. In May of 1942, she married R.L. Person in Clairemont. She had been a resident of Dickens County since 1915, and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jean Sonnamaker, Spur and Mrs. Grace Thompson, Dickens; two brothers, Mr. Henry Simmons, Snyder and Mr. Ike Simmons, Spur. Nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Pallbearers included Hester Arnold, Gifford Phillips, Guy Goen, Jim Wyatt, Harry Taylor and A.B. Carlisle. Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
