Obituary

Funeral services were held Friday March 19 at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church for Mrs. Mary Melvina Patterson, 80 who died March 17 in a Lubbock hospital.

Rev. Edward Dickerson of Celina, TX officiated.

Mrs. Patterson had been a resident of Spur since 1959. She moved here from Stonewall County. She was a member of the First baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, J.N. Patterson, Spur; three sons, Nevis, Breckenridge; Granville, Lubbock; Elson, Corpus Christi; seven daughters: Mrs. Marvin Carlisle, Tulia; Mrs. Carl Tree, Bailey, CO; Mrs. Edward Dickerson, Celina, TX; Mrs. Biddy Hicks, Muleshoe; Mrs. Marshal Smith, Tulia; Mrs. Marvin Williams, Lubbock; Mrs. Carl Baker, Bonham; 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers. >P>Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.

Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. in the First Baptist Church for Johnny Nicholas Patterson, 81. Rev. Edward Dickerson, Celina officiated, assisted by O.E. McElyea, Assembly of God.

Mr. Patterson died Monday. He was a member of the Baptist Church and had been a resident of Dickens County since 1959, coming here from Stonewall County.

Survivors include three sons: Neviz, Breckenridge; Granville, Lubbock; Eldon, Big Spring; seven daughters: Mrs. Marvin Carlisle, Tulia; Mrs. Carl Tree, Bailey, CO; Mrs. Edward Dickerson, Celina, TX; Mrs. Biddy Hicks, Muleshoe; Mrs. Marshal Smith, Tulia; Mrs. Marvin Williams, Lubbock; Mrs. Carl Baker, Bonham.

Twenty-seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren also survive.

Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Interment was in the Spur Cemetery.
