Services for James (Jim) Ulrick Paschall Jr., 47, Spur, were at 11 a.m. June 1, 1993 in the First United Methodist Church with former Sur pastor Rev. Bruce Parks and church pastor Rev. Kenney Kirk, officiating.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Paschall died about 9:50 p.m. May 29 following a sudden illness. He was stricken while on an outing with a group of friends near Lueders. He was pronounced dead at the Stamford Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Baird but had lived most of his life in Spur. He married Sandra Ballard on June 17, 1965 in Spur. He was a graduate of Spur High School, a lineman for West Texas Utilities Co. He was also a member of the Spur Volunteer Fire Department for 20 years.

Survivors include one son, Rick Paschall, Spur; a daughter, LeAnn Hunsucker, Irving; four sisters, Sheila Randolph, Lubbock; Karen Lowe, Cleburne; Cheryl Baxley and Paula Turner, both of Hobbs, N.M.; his mother, Ann Ellis, also of Hobbs.
