Funeral services were held Friday at 10:30 a.m. for James Thomas Parsons, 80, a retired Spur farmer.

Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor of the First Baptist Church officiated.

Mr. Parsons had resided in Spur since 1954. He had previously made his home in Crosbyton. He was a member of the Baptist Church.

He is survived by one brother, Lem Parsons of Spur; one sister, Mrs. Leta McCormick, Littlefield.

Pallbearers included Benny Fitzgerald, Waldo Havens, Darrel Fisher, Leon Havens, Bill Hoover and Glen Havens.

Interment was in the Spur Cemetery.
