Funeral services for Henry Cragg Parsons, 77, who died Sunday June 6, at his residence in the Kalgary community, were held at the First Baptist Church of Spur Wednesday afternoon at 3 p.m., Rev. S.E. Grizzle officiating.Pallbearers were C.W. Henson, Doyle Henson, H.L. Morris, S.E. Grizzle, Cliff Henson, and Bert Robinett.
Flower bearers were Leta Walker, Hazel Parsons, Eunice Parsons, and Leta Mae McCormick.
Interment was in the Spur Cemetery.
Mr. Parsons is survived by his widow and five sons; J.T. and Cragg of Kalgary; J.W. of Portales; NM; and L.E. of Kalgary; one daughter, Mrs. W.A. McCormick of Littlefield, one half brother and three half-sisters; 19 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
The deceased was born in Poke County, TX, Nov. 9, 1866. He was married to Miss Naomi Katerine Howell in 1889 in Bosque County, where they lived for a number of years, moving to Dickens County in 1922, and has been living here ever since.
Mr. Parsons was known as a citizen of the highest type a man promoting the good of his community. He was coverted at an early age and joined the Baptist church, in which he lived a consistent Christian life. He leaves many friends who mourn his passing.

SPUR (Special) - Last rites for Mrs. Naomi Catherine Parsons, 88 will be conducted at 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church here.The Rev. Riley Fugett, pastor and the Rev. J.W. Grizzle, Crosbyton, will officiate and burial will follow in the Spur Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Parsons died at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in Spur Memorial Hospital. She had resided in Dickens Countty from 1910 to 1916 when she moved to Calgary. She moved back to Spur in 1955 and has lived here since.
Survivors include five sons, J.T. Cragg and Lem Parsons, Spur; and J.W. and Loyd, Breckenridge; a daughter, Mrs. Leta McCormick, Littlefield; two brothers: W.T. Howell, Spur and R.H. Howell, Munday; three sisters: Mrs. O.S. Wade, Dallas; Mrs. W.L. Buster, Roscoe, and Mrs. W.O. Rucker, Strawn; 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
