Olivarez Services Held Friday

Stephen H. Olivarez Jr., 34, who was burned with caustic soda acid in an accident four weeks ago, died at Parkland Hospital in Dallas last Wednesday. He was born January 18, 1928 at Robstown and came to Dickens County in 1943. He was a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Anita, three sons, Mike, Joe and Henry, and one daughter, Grace.

Also surviving are his brothers, Jesse Olivarez, Robstown, Frank and Cruz Olivarez both of Spur; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Torres, Spur; Lupe Valasquez of Pampa, Tommie Gilles of Lampasas and Antonia Vasquez of Spur; and his parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Stephen Olivarez Sr. of Spur.

Services were conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday, December 14, in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Father James Duddy officiating, assisted by Father Hammonds. Interment was in Spur Cemetery with Campbell's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
