Graveside services for Catherine Bonnie Neal, 91, of Spur, were at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19 in Spur Memorial Cemetery. Lee Yarbrough, Hobbs, NM and Kenneth Carley, Portales, NM, officiated.
Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Neal died July 16, 1995 in St. Mary Hospital, Lubbock, following a brief illness. She was born in Gonzales County, Texas on April 6, 1904 and had been a resident of Dickens County since 1946.
She first married James Hardy Yarborough on January 10, 1934 in Tahoka. He died August 1, 1946. She later married J.C. Neal on August 29, 1950 in Clovis, NM. He died on August 5, 1983. Mrs. Neal was a homemaker and a member of the Bethel Church.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas Yarborough, Tolleson, Arizona and Lee Yarborough, Hobbs, NM; two daughters, Jonell Settle, Ralls and Shirley Lenz, Spur; two sisters, Laura Carley, Portales, NM and Robeta Phelps, Spur; 16 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchilden and three great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Frank Peterson, Thomas Pierce, Jack Marshall, Mike Marshall, Tony Pierce, Kevin Marshall and Russell Marshall.
