J. D. Munden To Be Buried Here Today
Funeral services for J.D. Munden, 68, will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church, the Rev. Chester Sassman, officiating.Mr. Munden, a farm implement dealer, died at his place of business Tuesday apparently the victim of a heart attack.
Born in Miller Grove, TX in 1893, Mr. Munden married the former Willie Adel Jobe in Sulphur Springs, TX in 1916. He came to Spur in 1944. He was a member of the Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, Mary Jewel Nelson, Plainview and Billie Ruth Ware, Caprock, Texas; two brothers, Lee Munden, Amarillo; W. W. Munden, Sulphur Springs, and one sister, Mrs. Olive Osborn, Big Spring. Nine grandchildren survive.
Interment will be in the Spur Cemetery.
