Woman Dies in Shooting Mishap

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Ann Mosley, 17, Dallas, who was accidentally shot to death late Monday afternoon, were held in the Four Square Church Wednesday afternoon. Rev. J.E. Lee officiating, assisted by Rev. Pete Adcock, Amarillo.

Mrs. Mosley was shot in the heart during a playful scuffle with a teenage friend, Robert Grant. Grant said he did not know the gun was loaded. Justice of the Peace J. E. Berry rendered a verdict of accidental death by accidental shooting, and County Attorney Alfred Walker said no charges have been filed and none are contemplated.

At the time of her death, Mrs. Mosley was visiting with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Morrow, Spur. Since her marriage on March 29, to Don Lee Mosley, she had made her home with him in Dallas. She had been scheduled to return to Dallas Wednesday.

Survivors include her husband Don Lee Mosley; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Morrow, and one sister, Mrs. Frances Blackburn, Almeda, CA. Pallbearers were Homer Ray and Bobby Thomason, Thurman Morrow, Jr., Ira Westfall, Grady B. Wann, and Johnnie Bowdoin. Interment in Spur Cemetery with Campbell´s in charge of arrangements.
