ABERNATHY — Services for Margie Bell Morrison, 81, of Abernathy will be 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 20, at First Baptist Church in Abernathy with Rev. John Lowrie, pastor, officiating. Graveside service will be 3 p.m. Monday in Spur Cemetery in Spur under the direction of Abell Funeral Home in Abernathy. Mrs. Morrison died Sept. 17, 2004, at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock.

She was born July 24, 1923, in Farmers Valley, Texas. She married Jesse Henry Morrison on Dec. 18, 1941, in Wellington, Texas. He passed away in 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Abernathy and once was active in WMU. She was a past worthy matron of the Eastern Star. She is survived by a son, Don E. Morrison and wife Glenda of Paris, Texas; a daughter, Karen Thomas and husband Jim of Abernathy; two sisters, Robbie Bell of Vernon and Shelley Bowers of Dalhart; five granddaughters; and nine great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial contributions to Spur Cemetery or Abernathy First Baptist Church Building Fund.
