Funeral services from Viola Morgan, a retired state social worker, were held Saturday at 10 a.m. in the First Baptist Church.

Miss Morgan died Sept. 7 in Highland Hospital., Lubbock. She was 70 years of age. She made her home in Dickens County from 1910 to 1942. She had resided in Angleton since 1942. She was a member of the Methodist Church.

She is survived by three sisters, Burnice Mayfield, Bakersfield, CA; Kathryne Handley, Carlsbad, NM; and Jean Westfall, Southland; two brothers, Clarke Morgan, Lubbock. And Robert Morgan, Plano.

Burial was in the Spur Cemetery.

Single, no children. Texas Tech College graduate, schoolteacher; Social Worker.
