Obituary

Mrs. T. C. Morgan, a West Texas pioneer mother passed away at an Amarillo hospital Friday, Feb. 20th after a lingering illness.

The body was brought to Spur where funeral services were held Sunday, February 22nd at the Spur Methodist Church. Rev. H. L. Thurston, the pastor officiated.

Interment was made in the Spur Cemetery beside the grave of her husband who died in 1916. Campbell Funeral Chapel directing.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Mississippi, April 11, 1856, being 85 years , 10 months and 9 days old. She came with her husband and children to Spur in 1910 and was a resident of Spur until two years ago when she went to Amarillo to make her home with her son, Andy Morgan and wife. Wylie Morgan, another son, survives. Two of her four children preceded her in death; they are Bob Morgan, and an only daughter, Mrs. Lizzie Morgan Boyer, wife of Robert Boyer.

Other survivors include a host of grandchildren and great grand children.
