Funeral services for Thedford Dewey Moore, 79 were held Monday afternoon at 3:30 p.m. in the Bethel Baptist Church. Rev. Bill Sanders officiated, assisted by Rev. Norris Taylor, pastor of the First Baptist Church.

Mr. Moore died October 1 in Crosbyton Hospital. He had been a resident of Dickens County since 1941 coming here from Van Zandt County. We was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Cora A. Moore, Spur; six daughters, Mrs. Beatrice Rainbolt, Spur; Mrs. Gladys Lee, Dickens; Mrs. Hazel Elliott, Idalou; Mrs. Shirley Lingerfelt, Miami, FA; Mrs. Betty Boyd, Breckenridge and Mrs. Sue Roming, Arlington; four sons, John and Robert, both of Littlefield; Hilton, Spur; and Roy, Idalou; 37 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Burial was in Spur Cemetery.

Services for Cora Avis Moore, 80, Spur, were at 3 p.m. November 14, 1990 in the Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Coffee officiating assisted by Rev. Norris Taylor, Idalou, former Spur pastor.

Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Moore died Monday, November 12, 1990 at about 3:45 p.m. in St. Mary of the Plains Hospital., Lubbock, following a lengthy illness.

She was born December 2, 1909 in Van Zandt County. She had made her home in Spur since 1941. A homemaker, she was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church.

She married Thedford Moore on November 12, 1923 in Snyder. He died on October 1, 1977. Two daughters preceded her in death: Bea Holloway in 1989 and Betty Boyd in 1990. She is survived by four sons, Robert Moore, Possum Kingdom; Roy Dale Moore, Lubbock and Hilton and John Moore, both of Spur; four daughters, Shirley Lingerfelt, Florida; Sue Roaming, Austin; Hazel Elliott, Idalou and Gladys Lee, Dickens; 37 grandchildren, 52 grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
