Funeral services were held Thursday, December 27, in the Spur Church of Christ for Mrs Amanda Millican, 70.
She died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Carl George, on December 26. Charles Adams officiated, assisted by Don Browning, Tahoka.
Born in Pottsboro, Texas in 1892, Mrs. Millican first came to Kent County in 1927 and resided there until 1967 when she returned to Pottsboro. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Lee Millican, Pottsboro; one daughter, Mrs. Addie Mae George, Spur; one son, Floyd Millican, Cotton Center; two brothers, Albert Stone, Grapevine, and Foy Stone, Smithville; two sisters, Mrs. Ada Black, Iowa Park and Mrs. Mattie Wallis, Gainesville, TX and two grandchildren.
Interment was in the Spur Cemetery.

Funeral services for Robert Lee Millican, 85, a retired farmer, were held at 11 a.m. November 25 in the Spur Church of Christ, Jim Chism, minister, officiating, assisted by Albert McInroe, Hereford.
Mr. Millican died November 3, he came to Kent County in 1927 and had made his home in Jayton since 1963. He was a member of the Church of Christ. His wife preceded him in death in 1962.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Addie MacGeorge, Spur; one son, Floyd Millican, Friona; one brother, Will Millican, Grapevine; three half sisters and two half brothers; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Pallbearers included Garth Gregory, Rance Gregory, Alton Clark, Orwin Stephens, Gordon Cheyne and Guy Fincher.
Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
