Carlos MesaServices for Carlos Rangel Mesa Jr., 53, of Spur will be at 12 noon Monday, July 2, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Father Heriberto Mercado officiating. Rosary will be 5 p.m. today, July 1, 2007, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Spur Cemetery.

He died June 30, 2007. He was born Dec. 1, 1953, in El Dorado, Texas.

Survivors include his father, Carlos Mesa Sr.; 7 sisters, Ylda Mesa Sproles, Olga Mesa, Andrea Mesa Sides, Estella Mesa Casias, Martha Mesa Rodriguez, Margarita Mesa, and Rosa Mesa Martinez (Valdez); six nephews, Lalo (Abelardo) Davila III, Michael Paul Davila, Cameron Charles Sides, Alvin Lee Barrera, Stephen Mark Vineyard, and Nicholas Paul Sides; six nieces, Oralia Maria Jara, Candace Rose Sproles, Sara Adelaida Davila, Alyson Rose Mesa, Laura Lindsey Garcia, and Alexis Rae Valdez, all of Lubbock; five grandnephews, Brian Paul Davila, Isaiah Trey Mesa, Joseph Brent Barrera, Jacob Christen Mesa, and Elija Evan Jara; and two grandnieces, Analise Marie Davila and Ciara Marie Sides.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Oralia Rangel Mesa April 11, 1992.
