U.S.Flag   Graveside services were held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Spur Memorial Cemetery for Earl Offes Merimon, 68. Rev. Charles Galloup, pastor of Bethel Baptist Church, officiated.

He died at his home in Spur on June 15, 1986 about 10:40 a.m. He was born June 17, 1917 in Elba, AL. A farmer, he had lived in Spur for about five years. He was a veteran of World War II.

Surviving are four sons, Gearl Merimon, Ralls; Kenneth Merimon, Portland, OR; Roy Merimon, Dallas; and Jimmy Merimon, Lubbock; five daughters, Renee Bray, Abilene; Shirley Fields, Amarillo; Patsy Clay, Odessa; Debra Smith, Little Rick AR; Elsie Green, Plano; four brothers, Obie Merimon, Dallas; Vernon, Weldon and William Merimon, all of Houston; two sisters, Edna Fagan, Forney and Irene Green, California.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
