Obituary

Services for Levi Marion Meador, 94, of Spur were Monday, February 8, 1999 at the First Baptist Church in Spur, Texas. Rev. Richard Harbison officiated. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

He died Friday, February 5 at the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. He was born February 28, 1904 in Gainesville, Texas. He married Grace Collins in May 1946 in Abilene. He was a custom combine harvester for many years. He had lived in Dickens County for the past 77 years. He was a Baptist. He was preceded in death by two sons, Billy Meador who died in the Korean War in 1950, and Junior Meador who died in 1974.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Meador, Spur; one stepson, Ray Roberts, Denton; two daughters, Jean Dean, Spur; Jimmie Sue Loveless, Roseburg, Oregon; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren and 4 great, great, great grandchildren.

Services for Grace Dell Meador, 90, of Spur were at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 23, 2000 at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Harbison officiating.

Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.

Meador died Friday, July 21, 2000, in Crosbyton Hospital Friday, July 21, 2000. She was born June 24, 1910, in Howell County, Mo. She lived most of her life in Dickens County. She married Levi Meador on May 11, 1945, in Abilene. He preceded her in death February 5, 1999, as well as one son, Herman Roberts, who died in 1996. She was a homemaker, and worked along side her husband on wheat harvest each year. She was a Baptist and a member of the Eastern Star.

Survivors include one son, Ray Roberts of Denton; two daughters, Jean Dean of Spur and Jimmie Sue Lovelace of Roseburg, Oregon; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; four great-great-great-grandchildren; and a great-great-great-great-grandchild.
