C.A. McKnight, an old time citizen of Dickens county, died Tuesday morning in a hospital at Fort Worth, and by his request the remains were shipped to Spur for interment, the funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock at the home of W.L. Hyatt.C.A. McKnight served three terms as county judge of Dickens county, in the early days, and his many acquaintances and friends throughout the country will learn of his death with sincere regrets.

Services Held Here Wednesday For Mrs. M. McKnight
Services were held here Wednesday for Mrs. Myrtle McKnight who died in a Wichita Falls hospital on May 29. She was a daugher of Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Garner, a pioneer family of this secton and for a number of years made her home here and one of the largest crowds ever to gather at the local cemetery, were present to pay their respects to the deceased.Mrs. McKnight was born September 18, 1877 at Cowan, Franklin County, TN and moved to Texas with her parents in 1881. In 1900 the family moved to Dickens County where she was married to C.A. McKnight, who died in November, 1920. To this union five daughters were born, four of whom survive. They are Miss Bee McKnight, Dallas; Mrs. Sam Bono; Miss Esther McKnight, Wichita Falls; and Mrs. J.L. White, Waco.
Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Garner and five sisters and a brother also survive, all of whom are reesidents in this vicinity. Sisters are Mrs. W.L. Hyatt, Mrs. Hamp Collett, Mrs. M.L. Jones and Miss Ella Garner, city and Mrs. Bud Morrison of Red Mud. The brother, Will Garner resides in the Red Hill community east of the city.
Services were held at the H.T. Garner home, Rev. R.C. Brown, pastor of First Christian Church reading the rites; and interment followed in Spur Cemetery under direction of Webber Williams.
Mrs. McKnight was converted about 25 years ago and united with the Methodist Church. Later she transferred her membership to the Christan Church.
