Memorial services for Edgar C. McGee, a longtime Spur resident, were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Spur. the Rev. Eddie Allsup and the Rev. John Nay officiated.Burial was in Spur Cemetery.
Mr. McGee was 89. He died at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Lubbock.
The Allan native had resided in the Spur area since 1920. He and the former Lula Kelcy were married June 1, 1922. Mrs. McGee died May 9, 1979.
Mr. McGee was a farmer, a Texaco consignee, and a Ford tractor dealer. He formerly served on the Spur school board and Spur city council.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Sammie Bell of Richardson; three grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Among the granddaughters are Mrs. Larry (Susan) Morris of Andrews and Mrs. Greg (Becky) Freeman of Lubbock.

Funeral services for Edgar C. McGee, 89, were held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the First United Methodist Church, Spur, with Eddie Allsup officiating, assisted by Rev. John Nay.Mr. McGee died November 15 in the Golden Age Nursing Home, Lubbock. He was a former Texaco consignee, Ford tractor dealer and held farming interests at the time of his death.
He married the former Lula Ann Kelcy in Granfield, Oklahoma in June of 1922. Mr. McGee had been a resident of Dickens County since 1920. He was a veteran of World War I and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Mrs.McGee died on May of 1979.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Bill (Sammie) Bell, of Richardson; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were D.J. Dyess, Everett McArthur, W.D. Blair, Martin Pope, Abb Bingham, Sam Fox, Leslie Birkenfeld and Carl Birkenfeld.
Buial was in Spur Cemetery with Campbell's Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

SPUR (Special) Services for Lula Ann McGee, 84, of Spur are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday at Spur First United Methodist Church with the Rev.Archie Echols, pastor, officiating.Burial will be in Spur Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. McGee died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday at Crosbyton Hospital following a lengthy illness.
The former Miss Kelcy was born in Palo Pinto County and married Edgar C. McGee on June 1, 1922 in Grandfield, Okla. Mrs. McGee and lived in Spur since 1919 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Sammie Bell of Richardson; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
