Spur Man Killed In Car Wreck

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. in the Spur Church of Christ for Billy Joe McDaniel, 28. He was killed Saturday in an automobile accident near Lamesa. Investigating officers said the 1962 car which he was driving skidded and rolled over at least ten times.

Minister Vernon Williams officiated at the funeral services.

Born April 29, 1933, Mr. McDaniel had resided in Spur most of his life. He was employed by a Lubbock cash register firm. He was a member of the Chuch of Christ.

Survivors include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe McDaniel who reside on the Dickens Highway near Spur; grandmother Mrs. J.W. McDaniel, Spur.

Pallbearers included Toby Collett, Guy Hugh Goen, Cecil Bartlett, Bobby Clark, Carol Parker and Lynn Talley.

Interment was in Spur Cemetery.
