Services For Leon McClurkin
Services were conducted for Herbert Leon McClurkin in the Methodist Church Friday, April 3.McClurkin, who was born Sept. 6, 1904, died April 1 in his home here in Spur. He came to Spur in 1947. He owned a jewelry store in Rotan and Spur.
Pallbearers were Guy Karr, L. P. Hamilton, Pete Kizer, C.O. Fox, D.J. Dyess, Levis Pullen, Byron Jenkins and Clude Barclay.
Rev. Cal Wright officiated.
Survivors include his wife, three children, Mrs. Selba Campbell of Rotan, Mrs. Dian Reed of Muleshoe and Joel of Spur; one grandson, Mark Campbell; two sisters and two brothers.
Interment was in the Spur cemetery under the direction of the Campbell´s Funeral Chapel.
