Funeral services for Laci Renee McCloy, 7, of Lefors, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in the First Baptist Church of Spur . with Rev Gene Lancaster, Lefors, and Rev. Sam Simmons, Spur, officiating.

She died Saturday morning as the result of a pick-up-station wagon collision in Matador. She was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace, Roy Smith.

Three other members of the McCloy family, Annette, 30; Clint, 2; and Matthew, 9; all of Lefors also wee injured.

David Seigler, 20, of Matador was treated at Caprock Hospital in Floydada. He was released Sunday.

According to Texas Department of Public Safety officer, Dudley Smith, the accident occurred at 9:50 a.m. when a 1983 Chevrolet pickup driven by Mrs. McCloy collided with a 1980 Pontiac station wagon driven by Seigler. The pickup was southbound on Highway 70 and the station wagon was eastbound on U.S. 62 when the collision occurred.

All four injured persons were taken to Caprock Hospital, and the members of the McCloy family later were transferred to Lubbock General Hospital.

Born in Shamrock, she lived there most of her life. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include her parents, Monte and Nan McCloy; two brothers, Matthew and Clint; grandparents, Boney and Doylene Winkler, Kalgary; and Willard and Bea McCloy, Morse; and great grandmothers: Sue Winkler Kalgary and Thelma Hinson, Crosbyton.

Burial will be in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Larry Waters, J.D. Ward, Terry Childers and Michael Ray.
