SPUR — Services for Hoss Martin, 59, of Spur will be 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 6, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Rory Mosley officiating. Burial will be under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home. Mr. Martin died Saturday, Sept. 4, 2004.

Hoss was born March 21, 1945, to Everett and Frances Graves Martin Sr. in Midland. He graduated from Spur High School in 1963 and Sul Ross State University in 1968. On Jan. 6, 1976, he married Sharon Edwards in Lubbock. Mr. Martin bought his first propane business in 1971.

He was the manager of West Texas Gas locations in Spur, Jayton, Aspermont, Childress, and Paducah. Hoss was a dedicated family man who enjoyed people and driving a cattle truck. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jaime, in January 1978.

He is survived by both parents of Spur; his wife, Sharon of Spur; two daughters, Misty Martin and Jesse Ybarra of Big Spring, and Jennifer Martin of Spur and fiance Doug Harney of Aspermont; a son, Scott Martin and wife L isa of Spur; a brother, Larry Martin and wife Nan of Wolfforth; a sister, Barbara Hardin and husband Charles of Post; and two grandchildren, Jeremy Ybarra of Big Spring and Tristen Martin of Spur. Hoss will be lovingly remem- bered by his friends and family as a big man with a big heart.
