Funeral Service For James M. Marrs Held Here On May 9th

Funeral services were held for James M. Marrs, a resident of Dickens Co. for 25 years Wednesday May 9 at First Methodist Church with Rev. Howard Hollowell officiating.

Marrs died Tuesday, May 8, in Spur of an undisclosed ailment, and was interred in Spur Cemetery.

A native of TN, Marrs was born in November 1858 and in 1920 settled in Dickens Co. A bachelor, Marrs is only survived by one brother, Oscar Marrs of Spur. Pallbearers: V.P. Graves, J. W. Henry, W. M. Hazel, W. F. Gilbert, Floy Watson, Ollie Hindman. Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
