Funeral services for Homer A. Marcy, 60, were held Friday, Dec. 10, in the First United Methodist Church, Spur, with Rev. Howard Marcom, officiating, assisted by Rev.Norris Taylor, First Baptist pastor.Masonic rites were held at graveside.
Mr. Marcy, a retired laundry owner, had made his home in Spur since 1936. He was a member of the Methodist Church. He died in West Texas Hospital, Lubbock, Dec. 8.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. LaFaye Marcy, Spur; two daughters, LaNelle Cundall, Loveland, Colo., and Rozelle Hardaway, McAlister, OK; his mother, Mrs. Anna Mae Marcy, Spur; four sisters, Mrs. Leonard Wilson, Sr., Lubbock; Mrs. Wilma Vaughn, Strong City, OK; Mrs. Jewell Poe, Artesia, NM; and Mrs. Edith Williams, Shallowater; one brother, Al Marcy, Abernathy and four grandchildren.
Pallbearers included R. J. McAteer, Marvin Crawford, Dr. Bob Alexander, Lester Ball, Rex Holder and Spencer Campbell.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery.

Services for LaFaye Marcy, 88, of Spur, were Tuesday, December 8, 1998 at the First United Methodist church. Rev. Larry Burton of Spur officiated. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home of Spur.
Mrs. Marcy died December 4, 1998 in Poteau, Oklahoma. She was born August 20, 1910 in Spur. She married Homer Marcy, Jr. June 4, 1938 in Lubbock. He preceded her in death on December 8, 1971. She lived all her life in Dickens county. She was a school teacher for 40 years retiring in 1976. She was a member of the Bluebonnet Club and Order of the Eastern Star in Spur. She was a one time Site Director for the Senior Citizens Center in Spur. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Spur where she taught Sunday school for 60 years.
Survivors include two daughters, Alice Lanelle Cundall, Belle Fourche, SD; Anna Rozelle Hardaway, Panama, OK; two brothers, W.D. Blair, Spur; Marvin Earl Blair, Stockton, CA; one sister, Winnie Gay, Dallas; eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
