Judge Malone Dies At Home Wednesday

U.S.Flag   Judge Walter Monroe Malone died yesterday, May 4, 1955 at about 6 p.m.

The 80 year-old former justice of the peace had been out working on a neighborhood girl´s air rifle when he became tired and went into the house to rest a bit. He told his wife to just leave his tools out because he would be back in a few minutes. His wife found him dead in an easy chair a few minutes after.

Judge Malone was born Feb. 27, 1875 in Johnson County, TX. He moved to Dickens county in 1925 with his wife, Ollie whom he had married in 1906.

Funeral services will be held tomorrow, Friday, May 13,in the Spur Church of Christ, with C. V. Allen officiating.

Among the survivors are his wife, Ollie, one brother, C. S. Malone of Stillwater, OK. and six nieces.
