Funeral services for Benjamin Paul Loe, 77, of Spur were at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 1996 at the Highway 70 Church of Christ in Spur. Don Williams, Lubbock and Charles Ball, Spur, officiated. Burial was in the Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home, Spur.Loe died Saturday, November 23, 1996 at 8:15 a.m. in Methodist Hospital, Lubbock.
Loe was born March 31, 1919 in Rule. He lived most of his life in Dickens County. He served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He was a farmer and member of the Church of Christ. He married Mildred McDaniel, October 26, 1940 in Spur.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred Loe, Spur; two sons, Bennie Loe, Levelland and Jackie Loe, Spur; one brother, Jess Loe, El Paso; one sister, Onita McCarty, Lubbock; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Gwyn Long, Nig Wyatt, Ronnie White, Larry Taylor, Gary Rainbolt and Benny Robertson.

Memorial services for Mildred Vivian Loe, 82, of Spur, were Thursday, January 13, 2000 at 2:00 p.m. at the East Hwy. 70 Church of Christ in Spur with Dr. Don Williams of Lubbock Christian University officiating. Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.Mrs. Loe died Tuesday, January 11, 2000 at Memorial Hospital in Seminole after a lengthy illness. She was born October 1, 1917 in Kent County, Texas. She was a homemaker. She moved from Kent County to Spur in 1940. She married Ben Loe October 21, 1940 in Dickens County, Texas. He preceded her in death in 1996. She was a member of the East Hwy. 70 Church of Christ.
Survivors include two sons, Bennie Loe of Seminole, Jack Loe of Spur; one sister, Gurtie Pickens of Spur; and two grandchildren.
