Obituary

SPUR (Special) Services for Lenora Gilmore Latham, 64, of Spur will be at 2 p.m. today at Highway 70 Church of Christ here with Bob Brandon, minister, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Larry Hemp of Lamesa.

Burial will be in Spur Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

Mrs. Latham died at 2 p.m. Tuesday (Sept. 21 at Methodist Hospital in Lubbock after a sudden illness.

She had lived in Dickens County all her life. She married Joe Latham Oct. 31, 1934, in Spur. She was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Robert of Douglas, OK; and Tommy of Spur; three daughters, Patsy Martin and Marion Osborn, both of Lovington, NM and Lanell Simmons of Snyder; two brothers, Claude Gilmore of Claredon and Jimmy Gilmore of Graham; 11 grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Hoss Martin, Brent St. Clair, Jim Ozborn, Phil Ozborn, Jerry Martin and Paul Gene Latham.

Services for Joe Louis Latham, 83, of Spur, will be at 2 p.m. June 7, 1991 in the Highway 70 Church of Christ with Rev. Larry Hemp, Slaton, officiating along with church minister, Ernie Bishop.

Burial will be in Spur Memorial Cemetery with Campbell Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Latham died at his home in Spur on June 4 about 2:50 p.m. Justice of the Peace Bonnie Edwards ruled death was due to natural causes. He was born May 29, 1908 in Post. He had resided in Dickens County most of his life. He was a retired, self employed carpenter.

He married Lenora Gilmore October 31, 1934 in Crosbyton. She died in September of 1982. Latham was a member of the Church of Christ.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Latham, Elk City, OK and Tommy Latham, Spur; three daughters, Patsy Martin and Marion Ozborn, both of Lovington, NM and Lanell Simmons, Snyder; four brothers, Clyde and Albert Latham, both of Spur; John Latham, Waco and Frances "Chick" Latham, New Port, Oregon; 13 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will include Jimmy Lee Ozborn, Jerry Martin, Joe Phillip Ozborn, Paul Latham, Jimmy Latham and Carson Latham.
