Margarita Carmel Lara, 67, of Spur died Wednesday, March 22, 2006 in Lubbock. Services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, March 25, 2006 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spur with Father Paul Kariakatt officiating. Burial will be in Spur Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home. Rosary will be 7 p.m., Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Mrs. Lara was born July 20, 1938 in Gillette, Texas to Julian & Manuela Mosqueda Dominguez. She married Jose Lara January 12, 1957 in Karnes County, TX. She had lived in Spur since 1957. Margarita was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church where she was a member of the Guadalupana's Society. She had worked for the Spur School District for 26 years before her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Margarita is survived by her husband; four sons, Roberto Lara of Spur, Rodolfo Lara of Wichita Falls, Raul Lara of Rusk, and Ruben Lara of Grand Prairie; one daughter, Ana Maria Lara of San Angelo; Mother, Manuela Garza of Spur; step-mother, Consuelo Dominguez of San Antonio; two brothers, Jesse Rivas of Lubbock and Teofilo Dominguez of San Antonio; three sisters, Estella Galvan, Mary Lou Lopez, and Manuela Casares all of San Antonio; nine grandchildren, Monica, Elisa, Antonio, Jammie, Kalob, Young Margarita, Roberto, Jr., Ricardo and Christina; and three great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jacob and Jalee.
