Obituary

Three young children were left when funeral services were conducted for Mrs. Doris Lee Clower Kirby, Sunday, August 3, in the First Methodist Church, Spur. The Rev. J.M. Morton officiated.

Mrs. Kirby was born in Perrin, Texas, June 11, 1928 and came to Dickens County with her family when only three months of age.

On May 23, 1946 she was married to Windell Kirby of Dickens. At 15 she joined the Methodist Church.

Survivors include her husband, three children: Rinda Kay 3, Windell, Jr. 20 months, and Linda Sue, 11 days; her mother, Mrs. Grace Clower of Dickens; one sister, Louise Smith of Spur; a brother, Ira Clower, Jr. of Dickens, one niece, Catherine Smith and grandparents Mr. And Mrs. W.L. Webb of Spur.

Pallbearers were Bob Crockett, Ira Edwards, Kenneth Swaringen, Billy Swaringen, Jake Swaringen and Billy McMahan.

Interment was in Spur cemetery under the direction of Chandler Funeral Home.
