Obituary

Graveside services for Mabel King, 83, of Spur were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 12, 1995 in Spur Memorial Cemetery. Rev. Larry Burton, pastor of the First United Methodist Church, Spur, officiated.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She died at 12:11 a.m. Sunday, September 10 at Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. Death was ruled as natural causes.

Her only survivor is a sister, Patti Albin, Spur.

She was a graduate of Spur High School, Class of 1928 and a cum laude graduate of Texas Women's University in 1932. She taught school at McAdoo and Peacock for many years. She moved to Mobile, Alabama in 1943 and was a journalist for the Mobile Press and register until her retirement.
